This pattern was created while I was an artist in residence at the illustration institute Marilyn Faison Art Residency on Peaks Island, Maine in 2021. I was inspired by the shells and seaweed I found at a cove not far from the cabin where I was staying. I was struck by the uniqueness of each shell and approached painting each one as if it were a small portrait. The pattern is available to purchase on various product in my Society6 shop.
